Hi, My name is Sonia and for as long as I remember, I have loved all animals. I first became involved in dog rescue and then in teaching others the joy of developing harmonious relationships with animals through positive reinforcement training.
I am CPDT-KA® certified and also a lead trainer at Karma Dog Training company.
My dream journey began 15 years ago when I started to volunteer in animal shelters back in Europe. Years of education about Dog Psychology and positive reinforcement training methods allowed me to share the knowledge with pet parents on how to better understand their beloved fur-ever friends!
Your dog learns that good things happen to him when he does the thing you like. If you give your dog a reward (praise, play, food, toys, etc.) when he responds to you or offers an action or a behavior that you like, then that behavior is likely to be repeated.
Dogs learn in the same way that people do. They evaluate whether their interactions in the environment have positive or negative outcome. Then they adjust their behavior to get more of the good and less of the bad. Positive reinforcement training is the best way to shape your dog’s future behavior and strengthen the bond between you and your pooch.
